Anniversary

Today is the three week anniversary of the accident that put me flat on my back and started this blog. That means I am officially 25% of the way to being back on my feet. This is going to be a good week coming up because my daughter Valerie is in town for the week. A very good friend of hers is getting married next Saturday and Valerie is going to be spending a portion of the week making sure that the details are handled.

She is also going to spend some of the week hanging out with me which is what I am really stoked about. Since moving to Maryland in July, I have only seen her three days. Quite frankly, that is not enough and since I am incapacitated for the next two plus months, it is awesome that she is here.

I have been asked by more than a few people for a picture of the splint/cast so here you go. I real cast is going on Tuesday. The color of the cast is going to be black. I had originally decided on white, but it shows the dirt too easily, so I am going to the "basic black."
As I reflect on the past three weeks, it has certainly been a challenge, but all in all not bad. Do not get me wrong, it is not something I wolud ever want to repeat and I certainly wish that I had never broke it in the forst place. However, I am getting better. I can feel it at the end of every day...even those days that are not that good.
And the best thing...by this timenext week I will be 33% through! Wahoo!
