My daughter Valerie has been out in California this past week helping one of her best friends get ready for her (the friend's) wedding which was yesterday. When she had originally planned the trip, she was going to rent a car for the week, but after my accident we had a spare vehicle. This of course required someone to go pick her up and then today drive her back to the airport. I did not make the trip to pick her up but decided that I would make the trip to drop her off.
How much fun was that! First, getting out of the house was awesome. Second, being in a car (even though I was not driving) was awesome. Third, the fact that I was able to make the 4 hour drive to San Francisco and back and feel great at the end of it was super awesome.
There is no doubbt in my mind that I am getting better. While my leg still occassionally aches, it is not nearly as bad as it used to be and can generally be controlled with aspirin.
Feels so good that I have made the decision to go into work for a little bit tomorrow. Not long...3 hours maybe 4, but depending on how that goes, I may make the office a regular detination...who knows.
