Just Another Day

Guess what? Today was just another day. One of the 84 than need to happen before I am back on my feet. It is wierd. When I was told that it would be six weeks (42 days) before I would be able to put any pressure on my leg and twelve weeks (84 days) before I would be out of a cast, I was crushed. Twelve weeks! You have to be kidding me! I have a life to live and it does not include 12 weeks on the sidelines.

But then the analytical side of me took over, I did the math and realized it was only 84 days. By comparison I have been on this earth for 21,225 days so compared to that what is 84? I probably have 10,957 more days to live, a grand total of 32,182. 84 days is .00216% of that total. In the grand scheme of things 84 days is nothing and today was just one of those days. I really wish I had a clever story to tell, but when you are house bound not every day is filled with clever stories.

The best part of today is that it brought me one step closer to the finish line. Just as a side note, the pain is still there and I am really looking forward to that part ending. But I am feeling better every day and today is no exception. Thanks again to everyone who is writing back...it really makes my day to hear from you.

Talk to you tomorrow.
